When is the 2007 Sale?

The Columbia Weavers and Spinners’ Guild will hold its Eighteenth Annual Holiday Exhibition and Sale on November 9, 10, 11, 2007, at the Boone County Historical Society Museum.  Located in Columbia, Missouri, the museum sits on the edge of Nifong Park near Highway 63 and Nifong Boulevard.

Show hours will be 6-9 pm on Friday, 9-4 on Saturday and 11-4 on Sunday.  Demonstrations will be held Saturday and Sunday.

Who is allowed to participate in the Sale?

To participate in the Holiday Exhibition and Sale, you need to be a current member of Columbia Weavers and Spinners’ Guild and a member of the Holiday Exhibition and Sale Study Group.

What is the cost to participate in the Sale?

A $25 participation fee is collected from each participant prior to the Sale. Please note: This fee is due by June 15, if you want to have your name printed, along with the other paid Sale participants, on the postcard advertising our event.

In addition to the $25 participation fee, you will pay a commission fee, up to 30%, on the items that you sold during the Sale. If your total sales volume is below $100, then $15 of the participation fee will be refunded to you.

Who do I contact for more information?

Our coordinator for the 2007 sale is Ann McGinity. You can find her in the CWSG directory or email her at: annmcginity@yahoo.com

I am insecure about having my work juried by others. Who can I talk to about this and other questions that I have?

The Holiday Exhibition and Sale Study Group has a mentor, Amy Preckshot, available to help and assist new members. Amy can be reached at: amydorothy@aol.com

In addition to Amy, or Ann, any of the members of the study group would be more than happy to help, just give us a call.
