Guild Library, the On-line resources available to members.

The Guild Library resources are available to browse via the internet. Guild members may enter this password protected area by using the User Name and Password found in the Membership Book. To check out books or use the reference editions in the library contact Mary Jane Thorne

Tie-Up, the Guild Newsletter

The Tie-Up is printed monthly, except for July and August. December is printed as needed. The Tie-Up is mailed or send via email to all members.

Send items, information and announcements to newsletter editor Jean Williams. Items for an upcoming issue need to be received by the 25th of the preceding month. (e.g. items for October issue must be received by September 25th.)

Guild Equipment for Rent (contact Wayne Pfeffer)

  • Four shaft table loom ($5/month)
  • Eight-shaft table loom ($6/month)
  • Two spinning wheels ($5/month)
  • Drum Carder ($5/month)
  • Triangular frame loom & stand ($5/month)
  • Four hat blocks ($1/week each)
  • Two brim blocks ($1/week each)
  • Knitting machine ($5/month)
  • For Demonstration: Four-shaft floor loom (No cost)

A gram scale is also available.


Verna Wulfekammer Memorial Trust

The Verna Wulfekammer Memorial Trust has funding available to support fiber-related educational activities for the benefit of guild members and other fiber artists. The Trust supports requests from individuals and groups. Applications may be found in the guild library or by contacting a trustee (Sammy Eber, Nancy Finke, and Janet Frazier). Grant applications must be received by February 21, May 21, August 21, or November 21. Applicants are notified of the trustees' decision by the 15th of the month following the deadline.


Columbia Weavers and Spinners' Guild Educational Scholarship Fund

Information and applications for scholarships are available from any of the trustees listed on the contact page, or at the Guild Library at Access Arts.
